鍛鋼件切削過程實(shí)際上是切屑形成過程。比較典型的切削過程是:被切削金屬受到刀具擠壓而產(chǎn)生彈性變形。隨著刀具的切人,應(yīng)力、應(yīng)變逐漸加大。當(dāng)剪應(yīng)力達(dá)到材料的屈服強(qiáng)度時(shí),開始產(chǎn)生塑性變形——滑移。刀具再繼續(xù)切入,當(dāng)剪應(yīng)力達(dá)到材料的抗拉強(qiáng)度時(shí),金屬層經(jīng)過剪切滑移后被擠裂而形成切屑。實(shí)際上,由于加工材料等條件不同,切削過程的這三個(gè)階段并不完全顯示出來。例如,加工鍛鋼件脆性材料時(shí),被切層在彈性變形后很快形成切屑離開母材,而加工塑性好的鋼材滑移階段特別明顯。由于切屑形成的過程不同,切屑的形狀也不一樣。
